On each new trip, it seems like we rediscover the world somehow. There’s nothing I enjoy more that finding new places. This first time is always full of so many beautiful emotions. For example the first time I’ve ever tried my all time favorite restaurant, I got so excited… Like a kid in a candy store. I will never forget the taste of those delicious crispy fresh fries or the silkiness of the fish. Of course coming back still feels great, you have your favorite options, you know the staff, have been seated at each table, but you’ll never have this first time impression again. Sort of like this innocence, freshness that goes along with trying something new.
That’s exactly how I felt while exploring the gorgeous Eden Roc hotel, just outside Cannes in the cap D’Antibes for the very first time. Chopard invited us for a delicious little lunch there and we had a couple of hours in front of us to walk around and breath in the fresh, free air of the sea. Needless to say that I’ve heard a lot about the Eden Roc. And I can now say that it’s definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my entire life. A reason that seems to attracts a highly interesting crowd too : there we were lunching, minding our own business as Sofia Coppola walks by, followed by Alessandra Ambrosio, and then of course Carine Roitfeld. They were all there eating fresh fish and sipping mimosas.
